Dr. Enri Damanhuri is a Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering of the Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia. He is involved in hazardous waste research and management particularly on waste identification and characterization, waste treatment, land disposal, and policy, legislation, regulation and enforcement. His project involvement includes identification/characterization of hazardous waste generation in Bandung area (4 districts), heavy metals solidifcation as concrete mixture, identification/characterization of tannery small scale industries in Garut, West of Java, and dehalogenation of xenobiotic wastes by photocatalytics and by biotechnology.

Dr. Damanhuri was appointed to the board of the Pacific Basin Consortium last December 2001.
